About
Private Equity asset manager investing in funds (primaries and secondaries) as well as co-investments across the globe.
The business employs a differentiated added value investment approach, focusing on prime (aka emerging) managers (defined as experienced and motivated fund managers raising their first, second or third fund), principally in the European and North American small to mid-market buyout niche, investing in both primaries and secondaries, as well as co-investments. The business targets 20% net IRR for investors, principally predicated on a well-established investment process, quality deal flow and a strong long-term track record.
CT Private Equity is the private equity business of Columbia Threadneedle Investments (formerly BMO Global Asset Management and F&C).
The business manages a number of private equity vehicles/programmes, including CT Private Equity Trust PLC ("PET"), a LSE listed investment trust. PET aims to deliver long-term capital gain through investments in private equity assets, whilst providing shareholders with a predictable dividend.
