Objectives

  • Maintaining dialogue with the relevant professional bodies so points of concern can be rapidly addressed.
  • Shaping policy and the implementation of policy to ensure it accommodates the needs of the British venture capital and private equity community.
  • Communicating with our members on legal and technical matters which affect them, their investors and portfolio.
  • Raising the profile of the industry and its concerns with regulators, influencers and other key industry bodies.

The Governance Handbook provides our directors, members and employees with a summary of our governance structure. This includes information on how our Council, Committees and Advisory Groups are constituted and is supplementary to the Articles of Association.

 

Activities

  • Producing technical bulletins and keeping members abreast of important legal and technical issues.
  • Responding to Government on technical consultations when they arise.
  • Maintaining dialogue with the relevant professional bodies so points of concern can be rapidly addressed.
