Objectives
The Venture Capital Forum exists to support the interests of the UK venture industry and the high growth companies it supports.
The Forum does so by:
- Providing support to venture firms' fundraising efforts by supplying appropriate industry data, insights and making the case for the asset class.
- Telling the story of entrepreneurship to a wider audience, and showing how venture capital supports entrepreneurs, changes lives and builds jobs in the UK and Europe.
- Achieving high levels of venture membership and ensuring there is a high level of satisfaction with the service we provide.
- Promoting an entrepreneurial economy through appropriate fiscal and regulatory policies.
The Governance Handbook provides our directors, members and employees with a summary of our governance structure. This includes information on how our Council, Committees and Advisory Groups are constituted and is supplementary to the Articles of Association.
Activities
- Promoting the venture capital industry to investors, fund managers, Government, and other audiences to demonstrate the economic case for venture and its wider contributions to society.
- Hosting informative events to inform and link entrepreneurs and investors and attract attention to the sector.
- Conducting or recommending research we should undertake to support this segment of the membership.

Annual Review 2025-26: Investing for a better economy
