This webinar hosted by UK Private Capital and Grant Thornton, and including members from UK Private Capital's Accounting Reporting & Governance Committee, will focus on the updates to the International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation (IPEV) Guidelines.
The new 2025 IPEV Guidelines were published in December, with an effective date of 1 April 2026.
Private capital continues to be high on the agenda in the UK, with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) having published its review of Private Market Valuations in 2025 and now conducting a review of conflicts of interest. The Bank of England has recently launched a system-wide exploratory scenario exercise focused on private markets, which will gauge risks and risk controls amongst lenders to private capital. Producing reliable valuations remains a key area of focus for the sector.
In this session, four experts share their perspectives on the changes to the IPEV Guidelines, why they matter, the work of UK Private Capital and its technical committees on valuations, and what practical steps GPs and LPs can take to incorporate the changes into your valuations.
