Barton Blakeley demonstrates its world-first CO₂ conversion technology to Victoria Collins MP
Barton Blakeley, a clean tech engineering firm, showcased its leading CO₂ conversion technology to Victoria Collins MP, when she visited the headquarters last Friday.
Founded in 2017, Barton Blakeley designs develops and & manufactures advanced carbon conversion systems. The company specialises in converting industrial waste CO₂ emissions into cleaner power and cheaper critical materials, turning carbon into the advantage.
Barton Blakeley combines the best of UK’s industrial expertise with the collaborative support of FTSE50 partners such to industrialise the re-engineering of emissions into a cleaner, cheaper more resilient future.
During the visit, Barton Blakeley demonstrated how it had accelerated its growth journey with the support of Elbow Beach, one of the UK’s most active specialist clean energy and advanced manufacturing investors.
Elbow Beach is a venture capital fund that invests in British climate tech companies that enhance industrial productivity, efficiency and performance at scale. Elbow Beach invested in Barton Blakeley in 2024, drawn by both the strength of its technology and its alignment with the UK Government's Industrial Strategy 8 High-Growth Sectors - industries the government sees as central to the UK's economic future. The investment has given Barton Blakeley the capital and sector expertise to move from R&D into commercial deployment, helping build a greener, cheaper and more secure domestic supply chains.
The visit, organised by UK Private Capital, provided Victoria with the opportunity to learn more about how Barton Blakeley has benefitted from Elbow Beach’s investment and strategic expertise.
Research from UK Private Capital, show that as of 2025, the private capital industry backs 935 businesses in the East of England, supporting 194,000 jobs and contributing £13bn to GDP.
