Stacatruc showcases growth journey to Lee Dillon MP

Newbury-based forklift supplier Stacatruc demonstrated its leading technical expertise to Lee Dillon MP when he visited its main headquarters on Friday.

The visit, coordinated by UK Private Capital, gave the MP the chance to meet with the Stacatruc team to learn how the business has been supported through its growth journey by capital investment and knowledge from YFM Equity Partners. The firm first invested in Stacatruc in September 2024, providing key scale up capital to support Stacatruc’s growth journey, expand its geographical footprint and build upon its strong track record. YFM’s financial and strategic support has been essential in allowing the company to respond to market conditions and acquisition opportunities effectively over the last 18 months.

Stacatruc provides forklift hire, sales, maintenance and finance nationwide. The company provides a full range of services including the sale of new and used forklifts, short and long-term hire options, and a strong aftercare offering through service and maintenance support, alongside tailored finance solutions. With nearly 30 years of expertise and backing from Stacatruc investors, the business is known for its flexibility and customer-focused approach.

YFM is one of the UK’s most experienced private equity firms, with over four decades of experience and a keen interest in ambitious and industry-leading SMEs.

UK Private Capital research shows that private equity and venture capital backed businesses headquartered in the South East of England supported 342,000 jobs. In 2024 alone, private capital invested £2.3bn into the region.

Commenting on the visit, Lee Dillon, MP for Newbury, said:

“Stacatruc is a fantastic example of a homegrown business going from strength to strength. It’s great to see their continued growth, creating skilled jobs locally, and providing vital support to other businesses across the region.

I’m grateful to the team for taking the time to show me around their headquarters and share more about their work. It’s clear there is real passion and expertise behind what they do, and it’s exactly the kind of success story we want to see more of here in Newbury and West Berkshire.”

Paul Vousden, CEO of Stacatruc, said:

“We were delighted to welcome Lee Dillon MP to our site. His visit gave us an excellent opportunity to showcase our company, highlight the work of our colleagues, and share the value we are delivering for our customers.  None of this progress would be possible without the strong backing of our capital investors, whose support has enabled us to build our business, expand our portfolio, and create high‑quality jobs in the region. We are proud of the impact our investment is having locally and grateful for Lee Dillon’s continued interest and support as we drive for further innovation and sustainable growth.”

Sophie Tainton, Investment Director at YFM, said:

"As an investment opportunity, Stacatruc stood out for the way it combines a strong track record with genuine ambition. The management team are highly entrepreneurial, with a proven ability to grow the business by responding quickly to changing market conditions and seizing acquisition opportunities as they arise. The team have a clear vision for the next stage of growth and, with YFM’s financial backing and strategic support, are well placed to accelerate the delivery of those ambitions."

Michael Moore, UK Private Capital Chief Executive said:

“Stacatruc is a great example of an industry leading business with an ambitious management team that has harnessed the power of private capital to support its growth journey.

“Private capital is a partner for economic growth, supporting jobs throughout the South East and across the UK. Our industry backs the most innovative businesses supporting local economies in every nation and region.”
