New data has found that businesses backed by private capital generated £4.4bn for the Welsh economy in 2025.

The data makes clear that Scotland is an exciting destination for private capital, an industry which supports the development of 639 businesses which call this nation home. These businesses bring value to local communities through the 159,000 jobs they support.

A new report has found that businesses backed by private capital generate £10.8bn for the Scottish economy each year.

Leading UK plumbing solutions company Kibosh showcased their new repair technology to John Lamont MP when he visited their main headquarters earlier this week.

SOS Leak Detection Ltd showcased their award-winning technology to Richard Fuller MP, during his visit to the North Bedfordshire-based company, last week. The MP heard how SOS locate, classify and resolve leaks, providing residential and commercial buildings with non-invasive and advanced remedial services.

The data makes clear that Northern Ireland is an exciting destination for private capital, whose investment supports the development of 186 businesses which call this nation home. These businesses bring value to local communities through the 47,000 jobs they support. 

In 2024 alone, private capital invested £1.18bn into businesses in the Midlands. Private capital employs an active ownership model which is a hands-on approach that helps drive value creation in portfolio companies through strategic and operational improvements, whilst supporting wider economic development.

The data makes clear that the Midlands is an exciting destination for private capital, whose investment supports the development of 905 businesses which call this region home. These businesses bring value to local communities through the 302,000 jobs they support.

In 2024 alone, private capital invested £149 million in North East businesses.
