UK Private Capital is pleased to announce Richard Swann as the Chair of Council, the association’s board of directors. Having been vice chair for the past year, Richard takes over at a time when the private capital industry plays an increasingly prominent and important role in the UK economy. The association is also delighted to announce that Dana Haimoff has been appointed to the role of Vice Chair. 

New research from UK Private Capital finds that the vast majority (85%) of private capital firms expect to maintain or increase the amount they invest in UK businesses over the next five years. The findings are part of a survey of over 100 senior decision makers at leading private equity and venture capital firms carried out by UK Private Capital.

Name change reflects the growth and evolution of the UK’s private capital industry

The latest Private Equity Annual Public Reports – reviewing the industry’s financial performance and disclosure – have been published today. The reporting process brings together three complementary annual reports which promote transparency by the UK’s largest private equity-backed companies and their investors. Designed to be read together, the reports underpin the private equity industry’s continued commitment to openness and accountability in support of the UK economy.

The BVCA is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the BVCA’s Council, Beth Houghton of Palatine and David Wilmot of Apera.

As many as 11 private capital firms state businesses in their portfolios could make an initial public offering (IPO) in the UK over the next 12 months, indicating that the industry expects an uptick in dealmaking activity in the coming months. The findings are part of a survey of 85 senior decision makers at leading private equity and venture capital firms carried out by the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA), ahead of its annual Summit.
